MBL
In the mid ʼ70s, a devoted admirer of famed Austrian composer Gustave Mahler had a problem. Wolfgang Meletzky found he could only lose himself in the emotional sweep of Mahler’s works by attending live concert performances in his native Berlin. The hi-fi equipment in his living room simply couldn’t replicate the color, range and emotional flight of the music that he experienced in the presence of the Berlin Philharmonic. As a young electronics engineer, this contradiction puzzled Meletzky. Why couldn’t a home audio system deliver the soul-searing power of a live orchestra, instead of flat, uninspired notes pushed out of a wooden box with little emotional “oomph” or intensity?
The Ultimate Listening Experience
Most stereo speakers are simply boxes that push sound waves into a room using decades-old technology. At MBL, our proprietary Radialstrahlers flood your spaces with exquisite omnidirectional sound that envelops the senses with toe-curling pleasure. You not only hear, but feel the lonely wail of a saxophone, the explosive thunder of percussion, and the whimsical charms of a playful flute.
MBL has pushed beyond conventional physics to engineer unparalleled hi-fi components. Our ground-breaking innovations dazzle the senses, allowing you to swim in the sonorous world of a master cellist, delight in the impulsive mischief of a jazz clarinet, or thrill to the spellbinding power of a violin battalion charging through Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
All while showcasing avant-garde, jaw-dropping design that leaves corners, edges and bland flat surfaces where they belong…on the drafting table.
Welcome to MBL…and a world of sensory transcendence.
